Hey Everyone! I’m delighted that you're here to find out more about HERO STARTS WITH HER. I'm from Cork and I did a B.A. degree in Drama & Theatre Studies with English in University College Cork with an emphasis on Drama-Therapy. After graduation, I moved to New York City to study Method Acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute. Since then I’ve been working as an actor and I’ve been lucky to have the opportunity live in & travel between Ireland, America and the U.K for various jobs. In 2013 while I was performing in a theatre-in-education show I was given the chance to participate in bullying prevention sessions for secondary school students. Anti-bullying awareness is a cause that is close to my heart so for two years I continued to tour to schools nationwide as an advocate against bullying behaviourDuring this time I learned so much from interacting with

students on a daily basis, most notably I could see a very definite trend in the stories I was hearing from girls in particular which is what inspired me to create the HERO STARTS WITH HER movement. I decided to combine my background in Theatre Performance & Drama Therapy to create a unique, fresh approach to tackle girl against girl bullying by designing a fun, interactive workshop for schools. I know what it’s like to be a girl growing up in a world full of peer pressure and what it's like to be surrounded by technology which comes with an added online pressure of it's own. It’s important to me that every HERO STARTS WITH HER workshop is conducted with a realistic yet sensitive approach. I believe every school is different and every girl is unique which is why every HERO STARTS WITH HER workshop is tailored to cater to each school's individual needs.
